Connecting our county through partnership

July 13, 2016 Wednesday 6:30PM-8:30PM

Pedro Menendez High School 600 FL SR-206

St. Johns County Parks & Recreation has brought together the various groups to address the growing excitement for our trail system. With the recent survey results where 83% responded favorably for non-motorized infrastructure and enhancements, the community has spoken and is ready for the number one sought after amenity. Representatives from the East Coast Greenway, St. John’s County Horse Council, Southern Off Road Bicycle Association, VeloFest Community Initiative, PV Greenway Initiative and St. Johns Audubon Society will be helping to organize this first of many symposiums. The goal is to establish a Master Greenway Plan that reflects the top priorities from each mode! We are excited to have equestrian, naturalist, off road and on road cycling as key components of this plan to help connect our community centers to non-motorized vehicle options. Please plan to attend, bring your friends and bring your ideas for where you want to ride!

Facebook Event: St. Johns County Trail Coalition Symposium

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the SJC Trails Coalition will be hosting a symposium to plan the future of non-motorized multi-use trails throughout St. Johns County. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Pedro Menendez High School Auditorium. Break out discussions will be conducted by the following groups;
East Coast Greenway Alliance
PV Greenway Alliance
St. Johns County Horse Council
St. Johns County Audubon
Southern Off Road Bicycle Association
Velofest Community Initiative
These groups will help identify and prioritize trails in St. Johns County that will connect local, regional, statewide and national trail systems. Public input is vital to establish a clear vision for non-motorized trails in St. Johns County.
