You Thought the Ribbon Cutting April 6th Was the End of New Trail?? The Loop Study Update!

Here’s some fun Friday news you can use! While we know 1000’s of you will be attending tomorrow’s ribbon cutting in Hastings (wink wink not so subtle hint click here for all the details for the big day), we know you are also keen for MORE! More trails, more infrastructure, more places to walk, ride and enjoy the outdoors!

We were excited to receive the updated St. Johns River to Sea Loop Study information from St. Johns County  and the team of consultants working under the FDOT managed Planning Study. We are also looking forward to summertime public workshops and hopefully, fingers crossed, the alignment for this amazing regional trail loop. Once complete the 260 mile loop will connect us all the way to Titusville!!

Here is the update. Below are the consultants materials! Stay involved, keep informed, see you on the road!

Good Morning,
The St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Planning Study is moving along, and the County is approximately halfway through the contract period as of March 2019 since the consultant, Hanson, began work in July 2019. The County is looking forward to receiving the Existing Conditions report in the coming weeks as well as a public stakeholder workshop this summer. The consultant has provided an updated FAQ that can be distributed to the community in the interim. Please see attached and let us know if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend and hope to see some of you at the Ribbon Cutting tomorrow in Hastings, 9AM!
